19.6 million people in Eastern and Southern Africa are living with HIV. They include men, women, children and youth. Apart from suffering from HIV, many struggle to access readily available medical care. High poverty rates in this part of the region makes it cumbersome for most vulnerable population to have better livelihoods. Low purchasing power means poor nutrition, poor livelihoods which affect overal adherance to medication to those on ARVs.
African Jesuit AIDS Network builds capacity of men, women and youth across Africa to start sustainable income generating activities to improve livelihoods of most vulnerable population. Collaborate with us to show love and care for those infected and affected by HIV and AIDS in Africa. You can get involved in the following areas: Medical Treatment, Psychosocial Support, Pastoral Care, Support Home Visits and Support Group Activities, Income Generating Activities, Education and Sponsorship, Support HIV Prevention Activities, Provision of Basic Services such as Food, Shelter Construction and Repair, Clothing and Volunteering.
