The training was attended by a total of 37 participants, 7 women prison officers and 30 inmates in the correctional facility who are serving different sentences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/ajan.africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DSC06165-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12357\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ajan.africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DSC06165-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ajan.africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DSC06165-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ajan.africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DSC06165-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ajan.africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DSC06165-1536x865.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/ajan.africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DSC06165-2048x1153.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/ajan.africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DSC06165-18x10.jpg 18w, https:\/\/ajan.africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DSC06165-274x155.jpg 274w, https:\/\/ajan.africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DSC06165-scaled.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>O semin\u00e1rio teve como objetivo atender \u00e0s necessidades dos guardas prisionais e reclusos, que inclu\u00edram a conscientiza\u00e7\u00e3o sobre o HIV\/AIDS, compartilhando com eles o conhecimento sobre como o HIV \u00e9 transmitido, expondo o mito e os equ\u00edvocos relacionados ao HIV e compartilhando com eles informa\u00e7\u00f5es e dados factuais que lhes permitam prevenir-se da doen\u00e7a e cuidar das pessoas infectadas e afetadas pelo HIV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O semin\u00e1rio de 3 dias foi uma continua\u00e7\u00e3o do \u201cMinist\u00e9rio da AJAN para as Pris\u00f5es-motiva\u00e7\u00e3o e prop\u00f3sito\u201d atrav\u00e9s da colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com a Capelania Prisional Cat\u00f3lica. A Sra. Sergon come\u00e7ou o treinamento dando um resumo de quem s\u00e3o os jesu\u00edtas e o trabalho que est\u00e3o fazendo na \u00c1frica. Pe. Matambura incentivou os participantes a ficarem atentos durante toda a sess\u00e3o, pois o treinamento que est\u00e1 sendo realizado impacta positivamente a pessoa, ele disse: \u201c\u00c9 muito importante que todos entendam que sendo criaturas de Deus, voc\u00eas t\u00eam um grande papel a desempenhar no planeta em que voc\u00ea vive e cuidar dos jovens que procuram sua orienta\u00e7\u00e3o.\u201d Posteriormente, os participantes foram apresentados \u00e0s dimens\u00f5es humanas, abrangendo as dimens\u00f5es espiritual, emocional, psicossocial e f\u00edsica. Onde os participantes foram desafiados pelo Pe. Matambura para viver uma vida bem equilibrada espiritualmente e buscar a orienta\u00e7\u00e3o e interven\u00e7\u00e3o de Deus sempre que sentirem que est\u00e3o no ponto mais baixo da vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/ajan.africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DSC06170-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12355\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ajan.africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DSC06170-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ajan.africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DSC06170-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ajan.africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DSC06170-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ajan.africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DSC06170-1536x865.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/ajan.africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DSC06170-2048x1153.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/ajan.africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DSC06170-18x10.jpg 18w, https:\/\/ajan.africa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/DSC06170-274x155.jpg 274w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>O Sr. Owuoche compartilhou conhecimento sobre o HIV, informando os participantes sobre os diferentes modos de transmiss\u00e3o do HIV e como o v\u00edrus HIV se desenvolve no corpo humano at\u00e9 o est\u00e1gio em que a pessoa infectada tem uma imunidade fraca. Sra. Sergon e Pe. Matambura S.J. elaborou mais sobre como o HIV ataca e destr\u00f3i o sistema imunol\u00f3gico, \u201cA perda de c\u00e9lulas CD4 (linf\u00f3citos T CD4) torna dif\u00edcil para o corpo combater infec\u00e7\u00f5es e certos tipos de c\u00e2ncer\u201d. Eles apontaram que, sem tratamento, o HIV pode gradualmente destruir o sistema imunol\u00f3gico e a infec\u00e7\u00e3o pelo HIV avan\u00e7a para a AIDS. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Os participantes levantaram quest\u00f5es-chave que lidavam com mitos e equ\u00edvocos sobre certos grupos sangu\u00edneos n\u00e3o serem infectados pelo HIV. Em resposta, a policial Eunice, conselheira de VCT na pris\u00e3o feminina de Naivasha, disse: \u201cn\u00e3o existe transportadora. Voc\u00ea n\u00e3o pode dizer se algu\u00e9m \u00e9 HIV positivo. A maneira de saber se algu\u00e9m \u00e9 HIV positivo \u00e9 se eles falarem sobre seu status e tiverem evid\u00eancias conclusivas de um teste de HIV. Voc\u00ea n\u00e3o pode julgar algu\u00e9m infectado pelo HIV apenas olhando para ele. Os sintomas \u00e0s vezes s\u00e3o geralmente de outras doen\u00e7as, como hepatite B e tuberculose, que s\u00e3o facilmente transmitidas por fluidos corporais. Se voc\u00ea tem HIV, \u00e9 importante saber se tem tuberculose e infec\u00e7\u00e3o por hepatite B porque o HIV enfraquece o sistema imunol\u00f3gico. Quando o sistema imunol\u00f3gico de uma pessoa est\u00e1 fraco, a infec\u00e7\u00e3o latente da tuberculose pode progredir rapidamente para a doen\u00e7a da tuberculose. Matambura S.J., said, \u201cPre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is a medicine which HIV-negative people can take to protect them against HIV infection either before (Pre) or after (Post) having sexual relation when you are most at risk of HIV.\u201d &nbsp;Fr. Matambura continued by stating, \u201cUnlike PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis), which is taken after a potential exposure to HIV, at least the first dose of PrEP needs to be taken before a potential HIV exposure. These drugs are usually encouraged for those individuals involved in prostitution business. Though taking PrEP correctly will reduce your risk of getting HIV, it won\u2019t protect you against other sexually transmitted infections (STIs).\u201d He finished by encouraging the participants to be faithful to one partner if you are in a relationship and if not to practice Abstinence till Marriage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ao incentivar os participantes a se compreenderem mais, a Sra. Wanjugu abordou t\u00f3picos sobre o desenvolvimento psicossocial do ser humano e a dimens\u00e3o emocional, onde ela interagiu com os participantes e os incentivou a abra\u00e7ar a abertura por meio de di\u00e1logo\/conversa e cria\u00e7\u00e3o de espa\u00e7os de comunica\u00e7\u00e3o para que eles possam encontrar solu\u00e7\u00f5es para problemas que os afetam psicologicamente negativamente e ter neles valores positivos de autoconsci\u00eancia, autocontrole, lideran\u00e7a, responsabilidade e compreens\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To share their experiences of the training one of the inmates whose name will remain anonymous said, \u201cWe appreciate the trainers for sharing with us knowledge on HIV, the current statistics of those that are currently affected by the disease in Eastern and Southern Africa but also, we were able to gain knowledge on issues which are root causes to the problem we are currently facing. We have been able to learn and have done away with myths that they are people of a certain blood group who cannot get infected with HIV. We are going to share whatever knowledge we have gained with fellow inmates. Ismael Matambura S.J., Diretor da AJAN agradeceu aos participantes e \u00e0 equipa da AJAN, onde disse: \u201c Pela resposta recebida enquanto estivemos aqui e pela aten\u00e7\u00e3o durante a sess\u00e3o, mostra realmente que valoriza o nosso trabalho, obrigado senhora Lillian por organizar esta forma\u00e7\u00e3o , AHAPPY \u00e9 um programa oferecido para o desenvolvimento integral e tamb\u00e9m para jovens, o programa busca cuidar de quem est\u00e1 infectado e prevenir novas infec\u00e7\u00f5es. Tamb\u00e9m estamos implementando outro programa de pesquisa voltado para a produ\u00e7\u00e3o de medicamentos que ser\u00e3o usados no tratamento de doen\u00e7as transmiss\u00edveis.
