Assim, quando partilha o p\u00e3o e o vinho com os seus disc\u00edpulos, como vemos na segunda leitura, somos lembrados de que a vida de Jesus \u00e9 a fonte da nossa salva\u00e7\u00e3o. Ele instituiu a sagrada comunh\u00e3o de que quem come seu corpo e bebe seu sangue ter\u00e1 a vida eterna. Com este mist\u00e9rio, Jesus quer nos mostrar que, mesmo que n\u00e3o possamos toc\u00e1-lo ou compartilhar a ceia como ele fez com seus disc\u00edpulos, ele est\u00e1 presente na Eucaristia. Assim, Jesus d\u00e1 a seus disc\u00edpulos a comiss\u00e3o e autoridade para celebrar a Santa Ceia, da mesma forma que Ele havia feito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No evangelho, vemos Jesus lavando os p\u00e9s de seus disc\u00edpulos. Alguns deles at\u00e9 se recusam a ser lavados. \u00c9 um bom momento que nos lembra como neste \u00faltimo ato de Jesus, ele mostra e demonstra aos seus disc\u00edpulos como est\u00e1 totalmente a servi\u00e7o deles. Ele se humilha ao se ajoelhar para realizar uma tarefa servil (um ato que nenhuma autoridade orgulhosa aceitaria realizar) de um escravo. E por que ele est\u00e1 fazendo isso? Jesus quer provar a eles o verdadeiro significado da autoridade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jesus quer provar como o poder e a autoridade est\u00e3o ligados ao servi\u00e7o. E este \u00e9 um apelo para que nos fa\u00e7amos hoje algumas perguntas: Com autoridade e poder investidos em n\u00f3s, como servimos aos outros? Meu poder e autoridade me permitem ser humilde para servir meus irm\u00e3os e irm\u00e3s, minha comunidade e assim por diante?
