Por ano, s\u00e3o diagnosticadas mais 1,3 milh\u00f5es de pessoas. Isto torna-o eficaz mesmo contra certas estirpes de VIH que j\u00e1 n\u00e3o respondem a outros medicamentos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O lenacapavir est\u00e1 em fase 3 de desenvolvimento para a preven\u00e7\u00e3o do VIH. Esta prote\u00e7\u00e3o de a\u00e7\u00e3o prolongada torna-o uma op\u00e7\u00e3o conveniente para pessoas que possam ter dificuldade em tomar comprimidos diariamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Num grande estudo (denominado PROP\u00d3SITO 1) envolvendo mulheres jovens na \u00c1frica do Sul e no Uganda, as que receberam injec\u00e7\u00f5es de lenacapavir n\u00e3o tiveram novas infec\u00e7\u00f5es por VIH, tornando-se ainda mais eficaz do que a PrEP oral di\u00e1ria.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Outro grande estudo (OBJETIVO 2) nas Am\u00e9ricas ainda est\u00e1 em curso, mas os primeiros resultados s\u00e3o promissores.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Como todos os medicamentos, o lenacapavir pode causar efeitos secund\u00e1rios.
