SOUTENIR LE DÉVELOPPEMENT HUMAIN INTÉGRÉ

The AJAN HIV and AIDS Prevention Programme is designed to promote the integral development of a young person and targets those of 10-24 years. It seeks to empower them to make informed and responsible decisions so that they can have a blossoming and successful social life. The programme is guided by the AHAPPY manual which was the product of a thematic meeting between Jesuits involved in HIV and AIDS intervention work in Africa and Madagascar and which included collaborators and African youths. While the main idea was to curb HIV spread among youth, it also incorporates Christian values and is a front against secularization. The goal of AHAPPY is an African youth who is well-rounded (growing in all dimensions- physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and social), free from HIV and AIDS, who is committed to the good of others and the improvement of the African continent.
