A Christmas tree originally scheduled for January 31, 2021, was unveiled on Easter Monday for the children of ABE Burkina Faso. About a hundred children took part in the activity which started at 8:30 am with the reception and ‘installation’ of the children. The atmosphere was with enthusiasm and each of the children put their best foot forward donning their Sunday best.
The cooks comprised of the children’s mothers who were ready to prepare sumptuous meals as early as 7:30 am. The sisters of the Christian Doctrine brought their touch by decorating the occasion with pots of natural flowers. In addition to a few ABE members, some guardians came to accompany their children. At this Easter tree, a community meal, small gifts consisting of sweets, juices and biscuits, were shared.
A musician was at hand to entertain the children as they danced and had fun. The day ended on a high note. It should be noted that the Easter tree was financed by the faithful of the Pamyondo Spiritual Center of the Jesuits of Burkina Faso.
