Towards the end of the Month of September St. Joseph Development Programmes was honored to host the Jesuit Provincial of Eastern Africa Province, Father Kizito Kiyimba SJ, during a meaningful visit that left a lasting impact on the community. His presence brought warmth, encouragement, and a sense of renewed purpose as he engaged with children, students, and staff across various initiatives.
Father Kizito began his visit at Upendo, where he spent quality time with both unit and primary school children. His joyful interactions and inspiring stories uplifted the spirits of the children, leaving them with hope and encouragement. The visit highlighted the strong bond between the Jesuit community and St. Joseph’s ongoing commitment to the well-being of these young souls. Father Kizito’s presence reinforced the importance of care, support, and nurturing environments for the children’s growth.
Also his day continued with a series of insightful meetings with the staff, secondary school students, and vocational trainees. His conversations centered on the value of education, the importance of setting goals, and the need for perseverance in achieving dreams. Students were inspired to share their own aspirations, and Father Kizito’s words resonated deeply, instilling a renewed sense of determination and hope.
