On Friday 6th December 2024 , I had the privilege of facilitating a session with a group of Catholic student leaders under the Jesuit Province of Southern Africa, guiding them through creative fundraising strategies and how to best implore sustainable entrepreneurship practices.
What made this experience truly fulfilling wasn’t just sharing strategies but discussing how to align their efforts with a greater purpose. I emphasized the importance of creating impact in entrepreneurship—focusing not only on profits but also on the positive difference their initiatives can make in their communities.
From identifying resources within their networks to leveraging their unique talents, the students embraced the idea that entrepreneurship and event planning can be transformative tools to serve others.
We explored how impactful entrepreneurs are those who:
1. Start with a vision that aligns with their values.
2. Prioritize solutions that address real needs.
3. Build networks that foster collaboration and innovation.
It was inspiring to see their energy, ideas, and commitment to making a change in the practical session of using The Business Model Canvas in a thought provoking scenario. Many thanks to the Jesuit Province of Southern Africa Youth office for the opportunity to share and build the future leader.
