On 22nd August 2025 Saint Joseph Development Programmes (SJDP) Kangemi, Kenya convened a Parents’ Forum aimed at deepening collaboration between parents, teachers, and programme staff in supporting children’s growth and holistic well-being.

The interactive session, facilitated by Fr. Binamungu Mukasa, SJ, centered on helping parents better understand and cooperate with the Upendo Programme’s procedures. By aligning with these structures, parents can actively contribute to creating a nurturing environment that enhances their children’s education, discipline, and personal development.

Fr. Mukasa emphasized that child development is most effective when parents, teachers, and programme staff work hand in hand. “A united approach ensures that learners receive the guidance, support, and consistency they need to flourish both at home and in school,” he said.
The forum also highlighted the indispensable role of teachers as partners in the parenting journey. By reinforcing collaboration between families and educators, SJDP seeks to build a strong foundation for discipline and academic success while cultivating values that promote resilience and responsible citizenship.

SJDP Kangemi reaffirmed its commitment to walking alongside parents and teachers in this mission. “Our goal is to ensure that every child entrusted to our care is not only educated but also empowered to thrive in all aspects of life,” the programme leadership noted.
Through such initiatives, SJDP continues to strengthen community ties and foster a culture of shared responsibility for the growth and future of children.
