The past two weeks have been busy for the companions and collaborators at Radio Kwizera here in the north-western Tanzania. Last week, three of us camped in Dar es salaam on different apostolic related assignments.

It’s the same week that lightning caused some damage at the headquarters but we managed to manoeuvre and get back on air ASAP. This week was punctuated by the start of the Lenten season. Fr. Vedastus Ademba, the curate at the Cathedral celebrated Mass as we marked Ash Wednesday together with our collaborators in the community chapel. He encouraged us to enter the Lenten season generously.

Some other activities included a dual visit by our partners, Deutsche Welle Akademie who conducted a two-day workshop on Mental Health for our journalists and another by the BBC Media Action donors from Canada and Sweden. The latter had an opportunity to interact with our journalists and listeners and observed production of Sanuka program which they sponsor. Records underline that this was the first time in many years to have such a visit.
We place all our works during this Lenten season in the hands of our Creator AMDG.
