In this month of October 2021, the Maisha Center had focused much more on the production of banners for the activities of the Ignatian Jubilee Year, as well as the usual activities for people living with HIV in the care of the Maisha Center.
Production of banners
The Maisha Center produced 48 banners for the activities of the Ignatian Jubilee Year which will be distributed in 12 parishes of the vicariate city of Kisangani, where the Maisha Center conducts its activities annually.
These banners bearing different themes, namely: protection of the environment, initiation to reading, the fight against alcoholism and other narcotics, the fight against games of chance; will undoubtedly contribute to behavior change among young people.
The usual organized activities
In favor of its beneficiaries, the Maisha Center has achieved the following:
- The rehabilitation of the house of a PVVs;
- Referral of patients to the hospital;
- Purchase of drugs from patients;
- Collecting the academic results of OVCs enrolled in the year 2020-2021;
- Weekly spiritual activities of PLWHA.
It should be noted that, out of the 7 OVCs (Orphans and vulnerable children) that the Maisha Center has educated, 2 received the certificate of end of training in cutting and sewing, 2 went up to higher class, and 3 failed.
