The Association des Benevoles de l Esperance- ABE received $2,000 from the African Jesuit AIDS Network secretariat specifically to help them carry out relevant activities to mark the 500 year jubilee after the conversion of St Ignatius of Loyola. ABE in turn organized three days of advocacy for the benefit of young people and adolescents in Sandogo and Boassa, two towns located within the suburbs of Ouagadougou in Lomé.
Among the activities offered is training which took place from September 9 to 11, 2021 and which brought together 15 young people. The topics tackled included; the three pathologies of the Global Malaria Fund, tuberculosis, HIV, COVID-19, the art of living, values and virtues, drug addiction, and home visits.
Over the three days, two trainers and several facilitators alternately to offer knowledge and skills to the participants. The exercise ended on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 3:30 p.m. with participants glad that the opportunity was created and they were able to attend.
