World AIDS Day was celebrated in the Central African Republic (CAR). The launching ceremony of the activities of the JMS 2021 took place under the high patronage of His Excellency Pr Faustin Archange TOUADERA, President of the CAR, also President of the National Committee for the Fight against AIDS, in Bégoua, on the outskirts of Bangui .
The Education and Listening Information Center of the Catholic University Center (CIEE / CCU) in its dynamic of collaboration in the fight against AIDS has spared no effort to mark this ceremony with its presence through an exhibition whose posters and documents to raise awareness of this scourge. The peer educators of the CIEE / CCU once again stood out by their way of informing the public about the need for knowledge of this pandemic, these modes of transmission, and preventive measures to avoid HIV infection. The response of the CIEE / CCU to the call of the time of the JMS 2021 is that the fight against inequalities, AIDS, pandemics begins with access to the right information, because ignorance is a major factor of vulnerability and exposure to HIV / AIDS infection. Brochures, banners,
To protect themselves from this pandemic, the CIEE / CCU offers the ABCD method: Abstinence, Good fidelity, Chastity, Screening. For young people, abstinence is the surest way we can prevent HIV infection. Chastity allows us to avoid risky situations and to reduce the factors of vulnerability to infection with HIV / AIDS.
Faced with this common enemy, the CIEE / CCU once again renews its determination to collaborate with all partners to save human lives. He calls for a positive attitude without which we cannot stand in this fight against HIV / AIDS and all that overwhelms our humanity. We can beat HIV if we stay positive. Zero stigma, zero discrimination.
Together, let’s stand up to:
End inequalities;
End AIDS;
End pandemics!
