On the 5th of December 2023,a group of 6 trained AHAPPY members of the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret had the honor to be facilitators in one of the parishes at Uasin Gishu pastoral region in one of the Parishes at Merewet.
According to Joslyne Wirunda one of the AHAPPY trainer at the session, “A good number of about 600 young people within the same region of the Catholic Diocese of Eldoret attended the one day sensitization activity, they were made up of youths in high school between the age of 13-17yrs.The 6 AHAPPY trainees within the AJAN network took the participants through the AHAPPY handbook modules.”
At the end of the sensitization activity, Joycline states that, ” Looking at the of the session that we had, I can say it was successful having inspired the young souls that were present and we are delighted we left a mark as it was impactful bearing the feedback we received from the participants.”
She continues by stating that, “The response received from the participants was actually positive, it has created a number of referrals to other Parishes and learning institutions, we hope that the AHAPPY sensitization session we had will be impactful to the young people in the long run. From this we are looking forward to doing more than what we just did, in making a difference to the young people in the society at large and in the future to come. We are grateful to TEAM AJAN-KENYA.”
