June-July 2018: 120 youth benefitted from a training organized by Centre Maisha at Jenipher Beach Tshopo in the Democratic Republic of Congo. During the recreational day exchange, the youth were engaged in conference-debates, poetry, skits, music and private exchanges and counseling between the youth and their peer educators on HIV and AIDS. Topical youth issues such as prevention of early and young pregnancies amongst youth, my body and my self attracted participants’ attention. The training created a platform for education and entertainment amongst the youth and as a result were informed on social issues that affect them.
