Fr Paterne Mombé SJ, AJAN Coordinator, writes: At the end of August, I went to Kigali with an AJAN delegation for the ordination to the priesthood of Marcel Uwineza SJ. The team of Service Yezu Mwiza (SYM) was also represented at the ordination. Marcel spent two years as a regent at AJAN House and also replaced Fr Désiré Yamuremye SJ for some months at the helm of SYM in Bujumbura. His presence in both institutions was highly appreciated, as witnessed by the delegations that turned up for his ordination.

It is a great joy to see many of the young Jesuits who spent some of their years of formation at AJAN House being ordained. Eric Simiyu Wanyonyi SJ, who was regent at AJAN House at the same time as Marcel, was ordained deacon on 8 September in Manila where he is doing theology studies.
